NETT4U – Virtual Internship | Diksha Bharti

Today We have with us Diksha Bharti, to share her internship experience from NETT4u, a work from home internship. “Trust yourself; The world will trust you” shouts Diksha. Let us read her exciting experience!

InternFeel: Please tell us something about yourself. Where and what are you studying currently?

Diksha: Hello, I am Diksha Bharti. I am currently pursuing my honors in English from MCM DAV College, Chandigarh. I am in 2nd year of college. I am an ardent lover of English language and loves to write. My other hobbies include Reading, writing articles, and playing chess. Robin Sharma and Shiv Khera are the ones whom I adore.

InternFeel: Give us details about your internship – process of application, stipend, duration and place?

Diksha: My Internship was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. My new year resolution for 2k16 was to earn for myself and helped me in attaining the resolution. Being a regular student, it was hard for me to spare my complete day. Therefore, I always opted for work from Home Internships. During my leisure time, I always keep on applying for the internships and one fine day, got the one which I desired for. As I opened my mailbox, there was a mail from NETT4u and the work allotted was to write a synopsis for Indian TV series. The work was of my heart content and then there was no delay.

InternFeel: How competitive was the selection process? According to you, which qualities have helped you have an edge in the selection process? Also, what were the key things that selectors were looking for?

Diksha: Without denying the fact, the selection process was quite competitive. There were around 400 applicants who had applied, and it was my 10th or 12thinternship which I was applying for. You ought to be confident and trust your capabilities to get into an internship. The selectors in my case were looking for the prior experience in writing and as I possess the same for writing for a newspaper ‘TIMES PLUS.’

InternFeel: Could you please highlight the work/research you carried out during your internship period?

Diksha: My work was to write a synopsis for TV series. I was given a task to write about 300 synopses in 2 months for Rs. 12000/- On and all, it was an enthralling journey for me. Every week I submitted around 4-5 pieces which they used to correct and mold per their requirement and after that, correct my errors. It was the nicest way to learn through fun.

InternFeel: Can you give us interesting details about your experience – good and bad?

Diksha: It was a great learning experience for me. They used to provide me with feasible timings and even cooperated with me during my exams. It was not pressure for me to complete my work on time. Instead, I enjoyed doing it.

InternFeel: How do you think this internship has helped you grow? In other words, what are your key takeaways from the internship?

Diksha: It helped me to make my personality grow and in building up my confidence. There’s always something and someone better than you, but you need to give your best shot. Trust your capabilities, and you can conquer the world. Trust yourself; the world will trust you.

InternFeel: Has this internship had a decision altering impact on your career? Do you now think of a different future path as compared to before doing the internship?

Diksha: Definitely. Now, I am more clear in my path. It gave me a direction in pursuing my career. I am now known to my hidden talents.

InternFeel: Lastly, do you have any words of advice or caution for students aspiring for this internship and reading this piece?

Diksha: The first and foremost thing to remember is to discover your true potential. Apply for the internships in which you can happily and satisfactorily work for and apply with utmost truthfulness. It will always be appreciated. Do not fake anything. They get to know somehow. Most importantly, trust yourself and your abilities and go for it. Best of luck.
