IF: How competitive was the selection process? According to you, which qualities have helped you have an edge in the selection process? Also, what were the key things that selectors were looking for?
PK: It was a bit tough to get the internship because they expected different verticals of knowledge and had to go through few interviews before conformation of the internship. They were looking for someone who can design as well as research. A person with good knowledge of communication skills and thought process was another requirement.
IF: Could you please highlight the work/research you carried out during your internship period?
PK: During my internship at Brandstory, I had to research for different artworks, contents, and make contents for web pages and assist my senior developer in the office with his requirements in the web page development. I had to design few artworks for different social media artworks. Prospectus designing was also one another task given to me.
IF: Can you give us interesting details about your experience – good and bad?
PK: My overall experience of the internship was quite adventurous and I learnt a lot. Also, made a lot of friends and had a very good time during the internship. My accommodation while in Banglore was also fantastic. My seniors insisted I should tour Banglore and had a very good and healthy working environment. Frequent lunch and dinner outings made me more comfortable to get closer to my Brandstory family.
IF: How do you think this internship has helped you grow? In other words, what are your key takeaways from the internship?
PK: I was exposed to many corporate essential jobs and how a company works. I learned many new ways of designing. Got the knowledge of web designing.
IF: Has this internship had a decision altering impact on your career? Do you now think of a different future path as compared to before doing the internship?
PK: After my internship was over I could add a new quality of a web template designer on my resume and had a great knowledge of web pages and other social media platforms. I also got to learn about UI/UX.
IF: Lastly, do you have any words of advice or caution for students aspiring for this internship and reading this piece?
PK: For all the people who want to do internships, I would like to say just one thing – Go out there friends and enjoy what you are doing and wait for memories and learning to accompany you. As someone has told “Enjoy what you do and Do what you enjoy”. All the best!
