Today we have with us Shivangi Singh, B.COM student from Amity University, sharing her intern experience at Chatterapps.
InternFeel (IF): Please tell us something about yourself. Where are you studying currently? What are your hobbies and interests?
Shivangi Singh: I am Shivangi Singh currently in 3rd year pursuing B.COM LLB (Hons.) from Amity University Lucknow.
IF: Tell us something about your internship including stipend, duration, and place?
Shivangi: I have done quite a few internships now in legal as well as the business field. The best internship I landed into via Internshala was a Virtual Commerce Internship at Chapterapps, an edu-friendly app. After making an application, I received a mail for submitting an assignment. After few days I got a selection call. The main task was to provide answers to previous year questions papers of different universities and arranging it in a prescribed format. The internship period was for 4 months wherein I was given a stipend of INR 11,000 in total.
IF: How competitive was the selection process? According to you, which qualities have helped you have an edge in the selection process? Also, what were the key things that selectors were looking for?
Shivangi: There were hundreds of applications for the internship. The selectors were looking for great academic records and proficient English. I think these two were the qualities that helped me in getting this internship.
IF: Could you please highlight the work/research you carried out during your internship period?
Shivangi: I was to provide answers to question papers of different universities and arrange it in a prescribed format of Ms-Word and Ms-Excel.
IF: Can you give us interesting details about your experience – good and bad?
Shivangi: I was given to solve question papers not only of commerce subjects but also law and English. That helped me in a great deal adding to my personal knowledge. The only bad thing I experienced was the internship was hectic and I had to devote long working hours.
IF: How do you think this internship has helped you grow? In other words, what are your key takeaways from the internship?
Shivangi: The internship helped in adding to my knowledge not just for commerce subjects but also for Law and English.
IF: Has this internship had a decision altering impact on your career? Do you now think of a different future path as compared to before doing the internship?
Shivangi: No, not really. But this internship makes me want looking for more online internships like this.
