ARA Law | Intern Experience | Adarsh Kumar

Hola!! Our InternFeel has equipped with new looks and features to make your experience stand out and help students on the same. So today we are here with an amazing intern experience from Mr.Adarsh Kumar, Intern from ARA law. Readout his intern experience below.

InternFeel: Please tell us something about yourself. Where and what are you studying currently?

Adarsh: Hello, I am Adarsh Kumar. I am a Final year (5th) student of SLS, Pune and staying in Pune itself

InternFeel: Give us details about your internship – process of application, stipend, duration and place?

Adarsh: I interned with ARA Law, Mumbai, for the period of 1 month. The process for application was pretty simple, one has to just send an email to the provided email ID and that will be followed up by a basic interview by one of the partners who handle the internships. Post clearing the two rounds you will be informed if you get selected or not. A stipend of Rs.5000 is provided.

InternFeel:  How competitive was the selection process? According to you, which qualities have helped you have an edge in the selection process? Also, what were the key things that selectors were looking for?

Adarsh: You don’t get to know anything about the competition as you are the only person available for the interview. Secondly, the thing which they are looking for and I feel I edged over others was knowledge of your own CV. One should know their CV in and out for cracking this interview.

InternFeel:  Could you please highlight the work/research you carried out during your internship period?

Adarsh: I worked mostly with the debt team, so handled matters and presented in front of the team regarding debentures and recovery of the same.

InternFeel:  Can you give us interesting details about your experience – good and bad?

Adarsh: The location of the office is one of the best office complexes in BKC, The capital. It’s beautiful and gives you a proper taste of the corporate life. The firm’s office is also huge, even though the team is small, the office is really big. One thing about this place which can be a drawback is that this place is pure veg. So it’s a delight for vegetarians.

InternFeel:  How do you think this internship has helped you grow? In other words, what are your key takeaways from the internship?

Adarsh: The amount of knowledge you can gain from this internship is not even funny. You get into intricacies of research and the law. Investments and the various practical outlooks and the legal framework of the same was tested heavily over here and you get to learn a lot.

InternFeel: Has this internship had a decision altering impact on your career? Do you now think of a different future path as compared to before doing the internship?

Adarsh: This firm has definitely had an impact on my career path as it helped me in narrowing down my area of interest.

InternFeel: Lastly, do you have any words of advice or caution for students aspiring for this internship and reading this piece?

Adarsh: Go with an open mind, go here just to learn and be ready to forget non-veg food for a month.
